We aim to build a social and political environment where all LGBTQ+
insights are valued and represented. To achieve our goal we are planning interactive breakout sessions, narratives, panels and direct
action takeaways so individuals can pass on knowledge to their/his/her communities and workplaces.
Our resolution is to form affinity groups to continue action throughout the year. Our ultimate goal is to create a LGBTQ+ center that will provide a space and resources for a unified community.
We are so excited to provide a sneak peak from the 2017 Summit exhibits.
Sarah Deragon is a freelance portrait photographer based in San Francisco. She started the Identity Project in 2014. It seeks to explore the labels we choose to identify with when defining our gender and sexuality. If you are interested in being apart of the project please fill out the model release and Sarah will contact you with more information.
Join us for an interactive Timeline experience where we will guide you through people, movements and milestones in the LGBTQ+ community.

Carlos Da Silva: Epoch Education
During the “Crossover” exercise, each participant will have an opportunity to explore their own personal biases and examine how it impacts our relationships with one another. This exercise will challenge our perceptions and ideologies in a safe non-threatening environment as we work to lessen the impact that our biases have on the people around us.
Understanding MicroAggression & Challenging Them
Carlos Da Silva: Epoch Education
Explore the world of microaggressions through the lens of implicit bias, what they look like and how they impact us throughout our lives. Get in touch with your own responses, bias and practice ways to confront microaggressions when they occur and build capacity to challenge them in a compassionate manner.
Breakout Session: Making Commitments
Understanding how our commitments make an impact.
How often do you have the chance to bounce ideas off the entire community. Let's make a plan! We like action!
As a collective we are asking for a call to action. During this time, we will be discussing, engaging, and processing way’s in which each of us could make a commitment to the progression of inclusivity in Sonoma County. With the assistance of the Whova application, we will be able to input our commitments, and receive support and follow-ups from the LGBTQ+ Summit Heart and Soul team.
Acknowledgements, thanks, and evaluations.
Closing by Snowflake Towers.
